Why Bhoomi Seva donates desi cows

Desi cows are required by farmers in order to pursue natural farming on their farms. Bhoomi Seva therefore helps marginal farmers who do not have a desi cow by donating one.

Cow dung and cow urine are used in farm-made natural-farming preparations and composting. A cow therefore gives the household a recurring on-farm input rather than something that has to be bought every season.

It also helps farmers earn additional income by selling milk.

Two cases are recorded on this site: a desi cow given to Sunita Kumara Swamy's family at Kurubarahalli Doddi near Kabbalu, and a cow identified for Sannamma, a woman farmer in Kothhathi Hobli, Mandya district, whose outcome is not confirmed in our records.
